Bipo is the brainchild of Sam Fearn. Sam's fashion PR agency, Fearnhurst PR, has run the press offices for some of the world's leading international retail brands.
Sam’s work has been recognised by Her Majesty the Queen where she was commended for her outstanding contribution to the retail sector. She was also awarded by PR week as one of the UK’s top 29 PR professionals. Management Today included Sam in their round up of the country’s 35 leading business professionals under the age of 35.
Sam had a vision to streamline the communication process between press and brands. The vision was to create a platform which would help both press and brands actively engage with each other, share content and manage samples without the administrative, archaic and hugely time intensive processes that currently exist. Sam spent over a year documenting her vision for Bipo, creating information flow diagrams and mapping out every page of the platform. Starting with a blank page Bipo was written in consultation with key industry retailers, designers and press to ensure the Bipo team deliver a product which will really make an impact and help move the entire fashion and beauty industries forward.
The fashion and beauty industries are at the forefront of cutting edge trend led design, paving the way for many other industries yet still works with time intensive, manual and archaic systems and processes. Press are being inundated with information. New seasons are emerging for retailers with vast ranges and new products are being introduced within existing seasons sometimes on a weekly basis. With the extensive volume of brands, collections and products it is becoming increasingly challenging for both the press and the brands to collaborate effectively together.
The nature of the editorial landscape is shifting with the demand for instant information increasing and the number of online retailers and ecommerce sites growing daily. Bloggers and online editors need instant, up to date and current information with retailers wanting to drive maximum traffic to their online sites.
Bipo addresses all of these challenges.
